Symphonie des Terroirs N°2

A tribute to terroir, tradition, and the art of blending

Symphonie des Terroirs celebrates the meeting of craftsmanship and terroir. This series of multi-cru cognacs lies at the heart of our Confluences range, dedicated to the subtile art of blending. It honors a group of visionary winemakers who, in the 1990s, came together with a shared ambition: to create a brand that would reflect the identity and diversity of their terroirs.

That idea gave birth to Symphonie des Terroirs du Cognac — the result of a collective passion. Among its founders were Alain Gousseland, Francis Motard, Edgard Fourcade, Pierre Julliard, Christian Landreau, Jean-Marie Vallée… and our own founder, Jean-Luc Pasquet, the master blender for the project.

We continue this legacy today with blends that express the unique character of each cru — balanced, structured, and aromatic. Each Symphonie is a true collaboration between people and place, shaped by those who cultivate their vines with care and conviction.

Symphonie des Terroirs N°2 is our second multi-cru blend. Its balance and complexity originate from three casks, each from a distinct terroir:

  • Grande Champagne L.57/62 – 15%

  • Fins Bois L.81 – 50%

  • Borderies L.90s – 35%

Blended by Jean Pasquet on June 26, 2023, and bottled on March 3, 2025, at 48.8% ABV. Limited edition of 255 bottles.

On the nose, Symphonie des Terroirs N°2 opens with delicate floral notes, soft honey, and hints of dried apricot. As it evolves, richer aromas of toasted almonds, leather, and subtle oak emerge, a reflection of its time in barrel.

On the palate, it is full and expressive, with a beautiful tension between the freshness of the Borderies, the roundness of the Fins Bois, and the length of the Grande Champagne. Flavors of stewed fruit, baking spices, and a touch of orange zest lead into a long, elegant finish with fine tannins and gentle warmth.
